MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO
Dr. Jennifer Salisbury
A proud Maui resident, Dr. Jennifer Salisbury is a self-proclaimed building permit expert, and is always seeking innovative ways to increase affordable housing. She maintains that keeping generations under one roof is a great way to directly support each other. Following the devastating wildfires, Jen's skill set in construction management continues to assist in expanding housing in Maui County. She is always looking for the "deal breakers" that limit housing including all types of federal, state and county regulations and bylaws. Jen is a US Naval Academy graduate and former nuclear propulsion engineer on the USS Enterprise (CVN 65). She has two master's degrees, and her doctorate is in education, having studied intergenerational communication. Dr. Jen also has an award-nominated podcast called "My Life As A Landlord" which teaches lessons to both US and Canadian landlords about building standardized systems in real estate, awkward conversations and property management techniques. Utilizing Michael's knowledge and experience as a Hawaii Licensed General Contractor, Jennifer and her husband Michael both won on-stage real estate awards for their newly finished condominiums in South Maui, which started in 1995. Dr. Jen is a long-time Maui Chamber of Commerce member, Construction Industry of Maui member, Maui United Way Board Secretary, and newly appointed to the State of Hawaii's Small Business Regulatory Review Board.

I'm Mike, but just call me Captain
Michael Salisbury is a creative business owner from Powell River, British Columbia, Canada. He built his first house at 21 and while working in the logging industry and building other new construction homes in is free time, paid the house off by the time he was 24. Michael bought his first helicopter to support his logging businesses and Panther Helicopters. An avid big-game hunter, Mike fell in love with Maui, Hawaii in 1995. He bought a parcel of land that year to develop into condominiums and keep one unit for himself. In 2023, Michael completed the newly constructed eight 4-plex condo development in South Maui after 28 years; see www.paradiseridgemaui.com. He continues to be a real estate mogul, developing a tiny home community in British Columbia and expanding further into the USA creating and expanding multi-family housing. Housing is Mike's game and creating community is his ministry.
